Updated on August 2, 2022. The 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid models will roll off the production line as a carry-over model. There isn’t much different from the previous year, according to Hyundai.
Rumors claimed the compact, five-passenger SUV was scheduled for a facelift or redesign, but that may be coming in 2024. It’s unknown if prices will remain the same among trim levels. As far as we know, the XRT appearance package is only available on gas-powered Santa Fe models. Shoppers should expect to see the “new” Santa Fe Hybrid on dealer lots in Fall 2023. So, the edgy yet refined exterior is profiled with sharp body lines capped with a wide grille. All this is flanked by T-shaped lighting signatures below thin headlights. Additionally, the rear of the Santa Fe’s architecture is emphasized by a narrow light bar across the width of
the bumper. This sits just above the skid plate and features trapezoidal-shaped exhaust cutouts, completing the compact SUV’s lean brawn. The 2023 Santa Fe Hybrid and Plug-In Hybrid models limit exterior options somewhat – including the absence of the XRT appearance option. The 2023 Santa Fe PHEV offers two options: the Selection Convenience and Limited trims. Kelley Blue Book reports probable color updates. But it’s unclear how many of these will be available for the hybrid models. Regardless, the new model year’s Santa Fe will have the same four-spoke steering wheel with various features depending upon which trim level is optioned. Plus, a digital gauge cluster and piano-black center stack infotainment layout. The base model maintains its handsomely utilitarian look and feature wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as welcome standards. The higher-end and subsequently more expensive models are equipped with leather upholstery, functional and temperature-controlled seats, and more capable technology. Moreover, each trim level will come with assorted high-tech monitoring, warning, assist, and detection safety features. Every 2023 Santa Fe hybrid model comes standard with all-wheel drive on every trim level. Gas-powered models offer a max towing capacity rated between 3,500 to 5,000 pounds. However, hybrid powertrains can tow up to 2,000 pounds according to Hyundai’s website. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) has not released a safety assessment for the 2023 Santa Fe. Still, last year’s model was a Top Safety Pick among midsize SUVs, featuring superior rating for their front collision prevention systems, IIHS states. 2023 Hyundai Santa Fe hybrid model trim optionsHyundai has yet to announce pricing on the 2023 Santa Fe. There’s little change from the previous model year and likely the last model year for this generation of Santa Fe.
