How do you read Big 5 personality test results?Your results are presented on a scale from 1 to 10. This is a standard scale that reflects the normal distribution of the psychological trait in the population. In easier words, your score can tell how you compare to others. If you have a score of 5, it means that 50% of people scored lower, and 50% higher than you.
What is IPIP Big Five factor markers? This 60-item inventory consists of 12 items each for the 5 factors: Neuroticism (N), Extraversion (E), Openness (O), Agreeableness (A) and Conscientiousness (C). Participants were asked to mark each item on a 5-point scale (strongly disagree to strongly agree) according to how well it described them.
What does a high score in neuroticism mean?People who score high in neuroticism are very emotionally reactive. They will have an emotional response to events that would not affect most people. A high scorer in neuroticism on a personality test has a greater chance of feeling threatened or being in a bad mood in a normal situation.
What does it mean if you have a score of 50 in any category of the 16 personalities test? The closer the score is to 50%, the weaker the trait. Theoretically, and for purposes of illustration, if the score passes below 50% for one trait, it starts increasing the percentage and describing the strength of the other trait in the pair.
