File photo. (ANFA) KATHMANDU: Head coach of Nepali national football team Abdullah Almutairi has announced the final squad for the upcoming AFC Asian Cup 2023 Qualifiers in Kuwait. Nepal has been drawn against Jordan, Kuwait and Indonesia in the Group A of the AFC Asian Cup 2023 Qualifiers. Nepal will play its first game with Jordan on June 8 followed Kuwait on June 11. The final game against Indonesia will be played on June 14. According to coach Almutairi, Deep Karki, Bishal Sunar and Tikendra Singh Thapa have been chosen goalkeepers. Likewise, defenders are Bikash Khawas, Bikash Tamang, Gautam Shrestha, Rajan Gurung, Shiva Gurung and Suman Aryal. All matches in the other nine groups were played in September. The 10 group winners qualify for the AFC U-20 Asian Cup 2023 main draw along with the five best runners-up across qualifying groups.
