2023 Venza Limited

Does the Toyota Venza deserve another chance? That’s what we’re going to find out. The 2023 Toyota Venza excels with premium luxury and hybrid power, but something is missing. For some reason, the Venza is being kept away from the spotlight.

Is the 2023 Toyota Venza worth buying?

Yes, there are plenty of excellent reasons to buy the 2023 Toyota Venza. It has a luxury crafted interior, the hybrid powertrain saves by sipping fuel, all-wheel drive comes standard, and it has a quiet interior.

But the Toyota Venza isn’t keeping up with rivals like the Toyota RAV4 Hybrid. Is the price deterring people? You can get started in the 2023 Venza for about $33,240. The RAV4 Hybrid begins at around $29,575, so you could save a little.

However, the Venza includes plenty of value with its price. The Toyota Venza XLE trim adds parking sensors in the front and rear, 19-inch aluminum wheels, and passive keyless entry. Despite having standard AWD, we wouldn’t exactly call this SUV an off-roader.

How much power does the 2023 Venza have?

The 2023 Toyota Venza comes with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that’s paired with three electric motors to generate 219 hp and 163 lb-ft of torque. The hybrid setup is the only powertrain option.

According to Edmunds, the Venza can accelerate from o to 60 mph in about 7.6 seconds. This speed is pretty good, but it’s abou a second behind the Honda Passport and faster than the V6 Jeep Grand Cherokee.

But the Venza looks sportier than it actually is. The steering could be a little responsive, but the acceleration is smooth and leg free.

The Venza gets an EPA-estimated 40 mpg in the city and up to 37 mpg on the highway. You can travel about 530 to 580 miles between fill-ups.

If you need more cargo space, the Venza can tow up to 3,500 lbs when properly equipped. However, this could be part of the problem.

The Venza is limited on cargo and passenger space. It offers 28.8 cubic feet of cargo space behind the rear seat with up to 55.1 cubes total.

Does the Venza have nice features?

Yes, the 2023 Toyota Venza is loaded with excellent features. The panoramic electrochromic sunroof can be switched from translucent to opaque with the touch of a button. Also, the interior is packed with high-quality materials such as leather upholstery and soft-touch surfaces.

The front and rear seats are spacious, supportive, and comfortable. The Venza provides a peacefully quiet interior and a smooth ride over the pavement.

An 8.0-inch touchscreen comes standard, but you can upgrade to the 12.3-inch unit to access built-in navigation and the nine-speaker JBL premium audio system. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard.

The 7-inch digital gauge cluster provides crucial driving information, and the 10-inch head-up display shows your driving speed and safety alerts. The digital rearview mirror provides a broader view of what’s behind you.
