Valorant is undoubtedly one of the most played tactical shooter games globally, and Riot has been trying its best to make the gameplay experience better for the players. But there is a common issue players always face. Packet Loss Error. There might be numerous reasons that cause the issue for you, so here's a few tips and tricks you may apply to tackle the problem.
No matter how good you play the game, packet loss can ruin the gameplay experience; this may cause due by server issues of the client host via Riot Games, although if it happens, Riot Games will be already looking into the issue and will update their Valorants official server status page. If the Riot Game servers are running perfectly, then it might be some issue with your internet connectivity; here are a few solutions that you can try to fix your problem:
Restart your Router
Testing your router should always be your first port of call.
- Turn off your Internet Router
- Wait for 5 mins and then turn it back on.
- Open Valorant and check your in-game internet connectivity.
Change your DNS
If that doesn't help, you can try and can change your default DNS provided by your ISP.
Just like every other server, a default DNS server may also have some issues, you can change it for a better experience. You can use quite a few DNS servers, but the best and the most trusted one might be Googles DNS. You can go to their website and follow the given instructions to see if it can solve your issue.
Contact your ISP
When home trouble shooting fails you. It's time to contact your ISP.
Ask them to provide an alternate routing for your internet connection. Make sure you ask them for the desired server source you want your routing from. After they have changed your routing, check your Ping from the server source on speedtest.net. Launch Valorant and check your in-game internet connectivity.
