How do I fix Chrome to access the network in your firewall or antivirus settings?

1. Add Chrome to Windows Firewall

A great solution for Google Chrome to access the network in your firewall is by allowing it using the Firewall settings as shown in the guide below.

1. Press Windows+ R to open the Run command, enter Control Panel in the text field, and click on OK.

2. Click on System and Security.

3. Next, click on Allow an app through Windows Firewall under Windows Defender Firewall.

4. Click the Change settings button.

5. Next, click Yes, if prompted by the UAC.

6. Click on Allow another app button at the bottom.

2. Add an exception to Windows Defender

4. Add Chrome as an exception to Malwarebytes

1. Launch Malwarebytes, and click on Detection History.
2. Navigate to the Allow List tab.
3. Click on the Add button.

6. Locate the Chrome folder in program files, select it, and click on Open.
7. Select the Exclude from all detections option and click on Done.

5. Add Chrome as an exception to McAfee

1. Open McAfee, and navigate to the PC Security tab.

7. Tick all the checkboxes to grant maximum permissions, and then click on Add.
