Google form link preview

If you've created a full-page form, chances are you've shared it with your audience on social media or other platforms around the web.

You've probably also noticed that your form shows up with the default Flodesk Opengraph preview.

To customize your forms preview image and text and optimize it for sharing, follow these steps.

Step 1. After youve finished editing and customizing your full-page form, youll see a new screen with an option to Edit link preview.

Step 2. Click on Edit link preview. Here, youll find the options to change the meta image, meta title and meta description of your full-page form.

Step 3. Click on the Edit button next to the Meta image section and upload an image from your computer.

For best results, upload a 1200 x 630px image. This will be the new preview image that gets displayed when the form is shared.

Note: If your image is bigger than the above-recommended size, your uploaded image will be cropped at the center for the metapreview. But it will display the full image when the form is shared.

Step 4. Click into the Meta title field. Use this space to change the page title from the default wording, which is Full page form.

Step 5. Click into the Meta description field and add a short description of your form.

Step 6. Once you finish editing the preview image, page title and meta description, Save your changes.

Your full-page form link is ready to be shared directly to:

• Facebook

• Twitter

• Pinterest

• Linkedin

Or grab the form URL via the Copy button, and share it with your audience via Messenger or in your social media profiles. Or link it to a button on your website or in your email.

How can I update the preview for an existing full-page form?

You may want to update the metadata for all the full-page forms you created over the months.

Hover over the forms card on your Forms dashboard, click the 3 dots and select Edit link preview. This brings you directly to the Edit your metapreview popup screen.

And then follow the steps from the above section.

My updated full-page form preview doesnt show when sharing the link on Facebook

The metadata update always needs some time to get synced across the web and to Facebook.

Its the same as with any other platforms, like when you change and update metadata on your website and social media. The search bots need time to crawl it again.

We dont control metadata sync.

If you dont see the updates yet when youre about to share your form, give it a bit more time and try again later.
