Uber has been my go-to taxi service for its convenience and reliability. However, lately, I've noticed long wait times, which frustrate me. I hope to see improvements in wait times soon.

Comment

Uber deserve 5 star. But I always struggled with their website, unable to contact Uber on the phone or chat.

Uber has never taking any payment from me, and never provided the service. Once I went on Uber website and I booked a Minicab to Kings Cross Station for 5am in the morning, Uber Minicab turned up at 1:00am in the morning. Uber refunded my payment without any third parties get involved.

Uber Minicab is a trusted business. They look after their Customers.

Racist driver failed to pick us up & accused me of cancelling

Simple: I tried to hire an Uber, the prejudiced driver decided he didn't like me and/or my half-Moroccan friend. He drove away without a word and Uber charged ME for cancelling. WHAT?

Uber reverted the cancellation charge. I've adjusted the review from 1 to 2 stars as:

  1. I don't think they should be able to charge passengers at all for cancellations by the driver (we had actually walked to the driver's location in the rain because he did not come to the agreed pick-up location); and
  2. Uber did not mention what they're going to do about the driver's outrageous behaviour.

Uber is cheating

Uber is cheating. Shows you fare at one price and when “something went wrong” comes back with extra 20%. This than stay for few more trips. Now when comparing with regular taxis it’s actually costing more than back cab. Moreover, it takes wrong routes, give wrong address and when you correct the driver, get to right place and in shorter time and distance, it charges you surcharge for “significant change to the route” ridicules, will avoid as much as possible!!!!

Don’t buy gift cards! Not redeemable

I purchased a 50 euro gift card (directly from them), tried redeeming the gift card to spend on Ubereats. They say I am unable to redeem it. No reason why. I have contacted customer service 4 times, everything time asking me to “please elaborate your concern in a brief manner”. I swear customer service representatives choose to ignore your messages and ask for details so they don’t have a negative mark against them! Uber does care about you

UBER Made Our Trip GREAT!!!

On a recent trip to St. Petersburg, FL, we used UBER for traveling back and forth to Tampa Intl Airport (TPA). We used UBER to buy supplies from the grocery store. We used UBER Eats for all our meals. We even used UBER to get to Tropicana Field. No Complaints!!! All the drivers were knowledgable. They all drove excellent for the different circumstances. For the return trip to NC we called UBER at 2:00am to take us to TPA which is approximately 29 minutes away. My son realized at 4:30am at the airport during TSA that he left his wallet with his ID at the Mint House in St. Pete. We were exactly 1.5 hr. away from the boarding of our flight to Charlotte. We called UBER and the driver took us from TPA back to Mint House and then back to TPA. We made our flight with just minutes to spare. Say what you want, UBER was a better bargain and a better experience than renting a car. Great Job!

Uber India is a scam

Uber India is a scam. The Uber Go option never goes through despite showing available cars and then when you pay extra for premium, the same car shows up! Except you pay more!

The worst experience was at Hyderabad Airport. Extremely chaotic and unorganized.

NEVER PRE BOOK WITH UBER RIDE!

NEVER PRE BOOK WITH UBER RIDE!! They charged me £30.03p for an 8minute ride, which I only ordered 20 minutes prior. I’ve always ordered Uber taxis but never pre booked before. The price didn’t come up before I clicked the order button.I thought it would have been the usual price. I tried to cancel but would have been charged £13 for cancellation. I called them just to be told it’s the minimum price for pre booking, absolutely disgusting, I don’t know how they justify the price. Total & utter rip off! I won’t be ordering from them again..

I expressed my concern to Uber and I was ignored

I expressed my concern to Uber about service animals. I have to agree to a policy before I can start driving again. The policy is that either I agree to have animals in my vehicle or I can’t drive with Uber. Also that they won’t be charged extra for a cleaning fee. Now that is unfair to us drivers who are actually allergic to animals to have to agree to this policy before we can continue working. Uber app should have drivers listed who are allergic and avoid setting up customers with them. Since Uber is not allowed to discriminate against riders with service animals, it discriminates against people who have allergies, also, against religion (to not give rides to animals). With people who have service animals. I am sorry for this post. I genuinely do not mean this in a demeaning way, I just wish that Uber would have something would accommodate both sides. Because right now, i have to work because this is my source of income for the moment. I am very disappointed.

Driver got wrong location and this is…

Driver got wrong location and this is the second time first it was on 22Jan2024 . I am trying to contact Uber's customer service but didn't find there number or even email address. It's very frustrating because the driver said if we didn't see you they're allowed to go and customer has to pay full charge .

Absolutely useless local representation…

Absolutely useless local representation for this company, booked taxi didn't even turn up, even though it was 400 yards away, so presumably picked up someone else, but charged to my account anyway !! And there is no means of contacting uber to complain so they are obviously not interested.

Crooks

Crooks. Coop cancelled my order. Impossible to get a decent response in the app. They accused me of cancelling it and have stolen my money. Awful customer service and I can’t actually believe they think this is acceptable. Trading standards report to be made tonight and charge back through the bank.

Used Uber many times both in uk and…

Used Uber many times both in uk and abroad. They are brilliant, friendly and efficient drivers. Why are the drivers so much better than the local taxi companies near me? Will only use Uber from now on.

Uber makes booking confusing and costly

The information is not clear on how to engage a ride. Nothing to tell you that if you reserve you will be charged more than double . No one to contact, reservation can be cancelled 60 minutes prior, but if you just made it and realized its a mistake there is no way to get out. I paid $48.00 to go 5 miles in 10 minutes, normal time of day .

A shoutout to the Uber driver who picked up my daughter and her drunk friend

On Sat 27 at 3.30am my phone rang. It was my 19 year old daughter. Any parent will understand the bone chilling terror when anybody phones you at that hour. It can only be bad news. She told me that she was lost in North London with a friend. They had been to a party. She was sober but was looking after a very drunk friend. 'There's no point in phoning an Uber, mum. Nobody will pick us up in case my mate is sick in the cab.' Long story short, she did phone an Uber, and this guy showed up, helped her get her friend into the cab, drove her home and as her mate got out of the cab he puked all over this poor Uber driver's cab. My daughter was mortified and gave him a large tip. I know all this because my daughter stayed on the phone with me all this time. The Uber driver, despite all this, helped my daughter get her drunk mate out of the car and into the house. I don't know the Uber driver's name but he is a hero. I salute you Sir and thank you.
