The Air Max 90 is probably my favorite Air Max model of all time! I definitely find it the most comfortable retro Air Max. Here’s a list of 5 current Air Max 90 colorways available on Nike that I would not mind having! I saw more than 10 pairs of Men’s Air Max 90 colorways on Nike’s site. Basically, I formed this list scrolling through and going with my gut on the colorways that caught my eye. Like, if I was planning on getting some AM90s right now, which would I cop? First thing I would do is narrow it down to a list like this. Air Max 90 Pure Platinum/Pink Blast/Volt/BlackHere we have a shoe that’s definitely trying to live up to its 90s roots. The color scheme utilizes some bright colors, which was definitely a thing in the early part of that decade. Nike has a way of throwing random loud colors on a sneaker and having them somehow gel together perfectly. In this case, the bright pops of bright blue, pink and volt really stand out on an otherwise plain shoe. I think these ride that fine line between low key and loud, thanks to the mostly light grey upper. Or rather, pure platinum as they’re calling it here. The black accents help keep the shoe grounded as well. All in all, a solid pick up if you are wanting a relatively low key pair with a little pop. Shop for these on Nike now! Air Max 90 SE White/Light Bone/Sesame/BlackApparently, “Swoosh Fiber” was an early innovation by Nike. At least, according to the description on this pair. So the embroidery is a send up to this design element. Personally, I’ve never heard of the innovation and Google did not turn up much info on it either. I’m going with it though, because I really like the colorway here! Again we get mostly plain looking base colors in white and light bone for a muted look. What I think makes these stand out is not the embroidery but how the colors on the backtab and orange cutout around the Air unit hit. In my opinion this adds some uniqueness to the colorway. Topping this off is the milky white semitranslucent outsole. I like how it looks a lot, complimenting the tones on the upper while offering something different from plain white rubber. The embroidery on the mudguard is a nice finishing touch. Shop for these on Nike now! Air Max 90 SE Worn Blue/Wolf Grey/Treeline/CopaThis is part of the Nike Sun Club pack which spans multiple models. They’ve been releasing a lot of pairs with this theme! This is made apparent on this pair with the special tongue tag and the bright colorway. In fact, as usual, it’s the colorway that gets me on these. I like all the pastels and how they come together on the sneaker. We get a multicolor translucent outsole here, which looks really nice in my opinion and adds a lot to this colorway’s appeal. The fabrics here are apparently made with a percentage of recycled materials. It’s cool that Nike wants to try and reduce their load on the environment! I do find it a little odd that we’re getting what appears to be thick canvas and denim as materials on a “summery” sneaker. Still, this variation from the typical AM90 composition is part of what makes these different! Shop for these on Nike now! Air Max 90 NRG Light Bordeaux/Armory Navy/Fresh Mint/WhiteWhereas some of the colorways on this list go for the “plain with pops of color” approach, these pop throughout! Of all the Air Max 90 colorways available on Nike, this pair might be my favorite as far as color scheme. I have a soft spot for purple-based colorways, and the purple on these combined with the navy underlays gives me vague Unheaven’s Gate vibes. The lavender mudguard and pops of light mint accent the sneaker in a bizarre, yet perfect way. These don’t have a 100% translucent outsole like some of the pairs above. However there is some of this wrapping around from the Air unit cutout to the center area of the outsole. What appears to be soft suede on the mudguard, sidepanels and toecap makes these extra attractive. It’s one thing to have purple kicks, but purple suede takes it to another level, especially if it is lush. From the images Nike is providing, it looks to be a nicer-textured suede than a typical general release. Shop for these on Nike now! Air Max 90 Court Purple/Lemon Drop/Wolf Grey/BlackI’ve had this colorway on my radar for a while, and they have seemingly restocked on Nike’s website. I ultimately wound up going with the Ridgerock colorway also featured on this product page, but that doesn’t mean I don’t still like looking at this pair. Like the Light Bordeaux above, we get a purple-based colorway. Only this time instead of mint accents Nike is using Lemon Drop yellow. We also get some beige on the mudguard to break everything up. Overall, I can’t scroll through a page of Air Max 90s and not take a closer look at a colorway like this. From owning the Ridgerocks (seems like they’re both part of a pack), I know the suede is going to be at least decent here. Just like that pair, we get a fully translucent outsole. I still question whether I picked the right colorway for my collection, but you can’t go wrong either way. Shop for these on Nike now! So there you have it, a list of Air Max 90 colorways available on Nike in almost full size runs on Nike. These pairs stuck out to me as special over the rest. Mostly due to colorway, seeing as I know that the comfort is already going to be there. It’s easier to shop for a new colorway when you already know you like the shoe! Since the recrafted line of AM90s started, the model has somehow got even comfier. These aren't in the same realm as a pair of Ultraboosts or Nike React technology.
What is the rarest Air Max 90?According to the seller on eBay , the Nike Air Max 90 "Grey Scale" was released only at DSM London and DSM Ginza, and each store's stock limited to just one size of each. If that is the case, that makes this Nike Air Max 90 one of the rarest pairs ever released.

DQM x Air Max 90 ‘Bacon’One of the most iconic AM90 colorways of all time inspired by America’s favorite breakfast food is theDQM x Air Max 90 ‘Bacon’. This pair was initially made in collaboration with Dave Ortiz and Chris Keefe, the owners of the now-closed butcher-themed NYC sneakers boutique “Dave’s Quality Meat” back in 2004 and rereleased for Air Max Day 2021.
