What weekend will F1 be in Vegas 2023?
Formula 1’s race on the Las Vegas strip will be the next-to-last race of the 2023 season. Show
The FIA announced the 2023 F1 schedule on Tuesday and the Nov. 18 Vegas race will go back-to-back with the season finale in Abu Dhabi. That will be a logistical push for teams as they will fly halfway across the globe after the Vegas race to run the last race of the season at the Yas Marina circuit. The Vegas race will be the third of three F1 races in the United States in 2023 and be at the end of a four-race stretch in North and South America. After a race in Qatar on Oct. 8, F1 will race at Circuit of the Americas in Austin on Oct. 22, in Mexico City on Oct. 29 and in Brazil on Nov. 5. The Brazilian Grand Prix will be on the same day as the NASCAR Cup Series championship race. The two races are a week apart in 2022. There will be two more races on the 2023 Formula 1 schedule. The Chinese Grand Prix returns to the calendar on April 16 after a three-year COVID-19 hiatus and the Russian Grand Prix is not on the calendar again. The 2022 Russian Grand Prix was set to be run on Sunday but was cancelled after the country’s invasion of Ukraine. The cancellation of this year’s Russian Grand Prix dropped the number of F1 races in 2022 to 22. The French Grand Prix is also not on the 2023 schedule while a race in Qatar is. F1 raced at the Losail Circuit in 2021 but the track was not included on the 2022 calendar. The second race in Miami will be on May 7, a week after the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Max Verstappen won the 2022 Miami Grand Prix. Here’s the full 2023 schedule.
