However, the government had redundancy protocols with the deadly tech. Agent Park was nearly killed by the device but survived. While in the hospital, she found out she didnt have cancer but was pregnant. Cooper attempted to turn himself in for a murder he may have been involved in but chose to obstruct justice.Reddington tried to sever ties with Dembe since hes a Fed now but was forced to go against his word and save his old friend from an assassination attempt. She helped him focus and we shift to him taking out a controversial Congressman. Reddington brought the case to Cooper, telling him the true target was the mob shrink, Dr. Roberta Sand While home, Cooper was nervous thinking the detective was onto him. Det. Lou calmed him. Later on, Red got more facetime with Agnes while at Coopers home. She shared that her mother, Katherine, told her that, besides her, he would be the most important person in her life. She held his hand and it was a touching moment. SharpshooterThe task force sought to apprehend Dr. Roberta Sand. The suspected she counseled the henchmen of Vito DeCanios crime syndicate. Peter and Alina have a talk on The Blacklist Season 9 Episode 6 Peter came to the headquarters to see Alina. She apologized to her husband for losing their unborn child. He was more concerned that he didnt truly know the woman he married. The team determined the sharpshooter was an elite shooter. So Dembe and Alina visited a sniper school inquiring about the man. the instructor recognized her student, Randall Beasley, and gave the agents his address. The pair of agents breached his compound and he had tripwires to alert him of intruders. The sniper started firing upon them and they exchanged fire. Dembe planted his boot under the car, knowing the sharpshooter would aim at it as a diversion, while he slipped inside the house and put a gun to the mans head, arresting him. Dog Grooming ShrinkInvestigating Beasleys appointment book revealed the connection to Dr. Sand.When they pressed Beasley, they had him message her to lure her out. She arrived in a trailer disguised as a dog grooming business. Inside was her psychiatry office. They arrested the woman for questioning. Dr. Roberta Sand is interviewed on The Blacklist Season 9 Episode 6 It didnt take much interrogation for Dr. Sand to give up the caper Vito DeCanios two sons and Donte Russo were committing next. She offered to help the agents. The plot was a ruse to get to an informant set to testify against DeCanio. The DeCanio brothers breached the safe house, killed FBI agents, and grabbed the informant but the task force interrupted their getaway. They talkedDonte Russo into flipping on DeCanio. Dr. Sand was there to convince him to cooperate with the feds. Donte opened up and called Dr. Sand Mom and suddenly the van they were transported in was being stopped. They thought it was DeCanios henchmen intercepting them to murder them but it was Reddington, Weecha, and a masked goon. Reddington intercepts assets on The Blacklist Season 9 Episode 6 Red asked Dr. Sand to be his personal therapist for a few months in seclusion. She revealed she was only helping DeCanio to protect her son Donte. Reddington called Cooper to inform him that he intercepted Dr. Sand and Donte. Therefore she wouldnt be able to testify against DeCanio. Weecha informed Red that the prints matched Elizabeth. Reddington started his first session with Dr. Sand immediately as he discovered he had been double-crossed by his oldest friend, Dembe! FramedMeanwhile, Cooper met Lou in private to learn his friend had doctored the ballistics report the police would see. Cooper felt guilty but Lou positioned the situation as someone was trying to frame him for Doug Kostas murder. The LetterRed was on a quest to see if Elizabeth had opened the letter he left with Dembe to give her once he was gone. He hired a forensic analyst to determine if her fingerprints were on the letter. He was trying to figure out if the letter had something to do with why she died. BlackmailedPeter and Alina on The Blacklist Season 9 Episode 6 Later that night, Alina opened up to her husband.
