Hi, when users want to sign out / log off from remote desktop in Server 2016, they need to right click on the Start Button, then go to sign out.
When they left click on the power button the only option is disconnect.
The users tend to mainly just disconnect, which means some log off scripts are not being run, causing some issues.
Is there a way to add the sign out option when the power button is left clicked?
I tried downloading the 2016 admx file but it didn't seem to help.
Thanks for any advice

You could setup a gpo to Auto log them off at a set time after Disconnect [like 5 mins], that should run you scripts for you.
Not as intimate with Server 2016 as I am 2019, but you should find the available combination of options in Group Policy to disable Disconnect, and replace with Log On/off underUser Configuration\Administrative Templates\Start Menu and Taskbar or using Group Policy Preferences found under User Configuration\Preferences\. Depending on your needs and environment you may also want to consider RDP Session Limits under Computer Configuration\Administrative Templates\Windows Components\Remote Desktop Services\Remote Desktop Session Host.
I use a batch file stored in C:\Windows\System32 call logoff.bat
The batch file contains...
@echo off
shutdown /l /f
and a ..\Public\Desktop shortcut called Logoff to the batch file..
Works the same way in Windows 10 - no option to signout unless you right click.
I just have my RDS Servers configured to logout disconnected sessions after 5 minutes.
