About this event

PyData brings together both users and developers of data analysis tools to share ideas and learn from each other. The goals are to provide data science enthusiasts, across various domains, a place to discuss how best to apply languages and tools to the challenges of data management, processing, analytics, and visualization.

Ticket costs will support the PyData Community through donations to NumFOCUS, a non-profit public charity promoting and supporting the ongoing research and development of open-source scientific data tools through educational, community and public channels. Proceeds will go towards programs such as project fiscal sponsorship, Diversity and Inclusion in Scientific Computing (DISC) initiatives, project grants, and scholarships. What is PyData conference?

The PyData Global Online Conference is where users, contributors, and newcomers can share experiences to learn from one another and grow together. PyData provides a virtual forum for the international community of users and developers of data analysis tools to share ideas and learn from each other.

What is PyData Python?

The term 'PyData' is not official but rather a colloquial title that refers to a collection of commonly used Python packages and tools within the data science community. So while it means different things to different Pythonistas, there are a few generally accepted members of this collection.

What is PyData ecosystem?

PyData also refers to the community that is focused on primarily using Python for data analysis (more business focused than SciPy, which is organized by Enthought and leans more towards academic applications).
